Easter Message -NEANZ管区顧問会より

このイースターの時期、私たちの世界には、復活の神秘が極めて明らかに現れています。
私たちは、暴力や分断によって人生が打ち砕かれた人々の闇と悲しみを目の当たりにしています。
いつものように、私たちはこの体験の具体的な現実の中で、神はどこにおられるのかと問うのです。
これほどの苦しみの中で、どうして変容が可能なのでしょうか？

希望と平和への切実な熱望があります。これがイースターの呼びかけです。
聖週間の聖書朗読は復活がもたらす変容の力を私たちに示す洞察を与えてくれます。
イザヤは「苦しむしもべ」について次のように述べています：
「傷ついた葦を折ることなく　暗くなってゆく灯火を消すことなく
裁きを導き出して、確かなものとする。」（イザヤ書42:3）

このイースターに、神の約束が希望と勇気の源となりますように。

そして、神の平和が、遠く離れた地だけではなく、
私たちの心のなかにも満ち溢れるよう、祈りましょう。

The Paschal Mystery is very evident in our world during this Easter. 
We are witnessing the darkness and grief of those whose lives are shattered by
violence and division. As always, we ask where is God in the concrete
reality of this experience? How is transformation possible
in the midst of such suffering?

There is a deep longing for hope and peace. This is the call of Easter.
The scripture readings of Holy Week give us an insight into the transformative power of the resurrection. Isaiah says of the Suffering Servant:
"A bruised reed he will not break and a dimly burning candle he will not quench;
he will faithfully bring forth justice." (Isaiah 42:3)

Let us pray that God's promise will be a source of hope and courage this Easter.

And let us pray that God's peace reigns, not only in distant lands but in our own hearts.
