― 広島学院高校生　Hiroshima Gakuin High School Students

今年もしっかりしたプログラムで活動。一人一人が南相馬に来た目的をはっきり持っていて、現地見学後の分かち合い、振り返りも内容の濃いものでした。現地の方の体験談も伺うことができました。This year again, they carried out their activities through a well-structured program. Each student had a clear purpose for coming to Minamisoma, and the sharing and reflection sessions following the local tour were very meaningful. The students were also able to hear firsthand accounts of the experiences of the disaster 16 years ago from local residents.

― カリタス親子食堂　Caritas Parent-child Kitchen

今回は聖心女子大学の学生8名と引率の先生お一人、計9名が幸田司教様のカレーライス作りの手伝い。司教様の料理教室のようでした。食後は原町高校の生徒たちと一緒に子どもたちの遊び相手。大学生も高校生も子どもたちも楽しんでいました。良い交流の場になっています。This time, seven students from the University of the Sacred Heart helped Bishop Koda prepare curry rice. It was like a cooking class led by the bishop. After the meal, they played with the children together with the students from Haramachi High School. The university students, high school students, and children all had a great time. It has become a great opportunity for interaction.

― カリタス憩いカフェ　9月16日　Caritas Ikoi (Relaxation) Café

月一度の集まりに近隣の高齢者5−6名が来られて、その時々に用意された活動を楽しまれています。今月はひまわりの壁掛け作り。手を動かしながら、おしゃべりも楽しいひとときです。Five or six elderly residents from the neighborhood attend this monthly gathering to enjoy the activities prepared for each session by a group of local residents. This month, they made sunflower wall hangings. They enjoyed chatting while working with their hands.

― 東京神学院の神学生来訪　Visit by Seminarians from Tokyo Seminary

9月16−17日に一泊で福島巡礼ということで毎年、神学生5名と神学院院長の稲川神父様、養成担当の谷脇神父様がカリタス南相馬に来られます。カリタス南相馬所長の根本摩利さんの案内で現地見学。今年は日本人2名、3名は外国からでした。皆さん、日本語が上手でした。As part of their annual overnight pilgrimage to Fukushima on September 16–17, five seminarians, along with the seminary's rector, Father Inagawa, and Father Taniwaki, who is in charge of formation, visited Caritas Minamisoma. They toured the area guided by Ms. Mari Nemoto, director of Caritas Minamisoma. This year, there were two Japanese seminarians and three from other countries, who were fluent in Japanese.
