―南相馬にあるフリースクール マチエール 見学 Visiting the Machiere Free School in Minamisoma
100人を超える不登校の子どもたちが南相馬にはいるが、彼らの居場所としてのフリースクールは少ない。原町にあるフリースクール
マチエールを見学する。毎週木曜日に原町のコミュニティセンターで開かれている。見学に行った日には中学生の男子が2人と女子１人が来ていた。ボランティアの女性たちが5人。3月なので子供達と一緒にちらし寿司を作って昼食を共にする。デザートも子どもたちが飾り付けをする形で共にする。
それ以外の時間はこどもたちが好きなように過ごしている。他の曜日に開いているフリースクールに行くことができる。学校に行きたいときには自由に行ける。ここに来ている時はゲームなどをしながら、人との関わり、他の人への思いやりなどを学ぶことができる。英語のゲームで勉強もできる。市が企画している出前講座に依頼して太極拳、音楽などもプログラムにある。There are over 100
children in Minamisoma who are not attending school, but there are few free
schools that serve as a safe space for them. We visited the Machiere Free
School in Haramachi. It is held every Thursday at the Haramachi Community
Center. On the day of our visit, there were two middle school boys and one girl
in attendance, along with five female volunteers. Since it was March, we made
chirashi sushi with the children and shared lunch together. For dessert, the
children decorated the dishes themselves, and we enjoyed them together.
The rest of the
time, the children spend their time as they please. They can attend other free
schools that are open on different days of the week. If they want to go to
school, they are free to do so. While they are here, they can play games and
learn about social interaction and caring for others. They can also study
through English games. The program includes Tai Chi and music classes, which
are offered through outreach programs organized by the city.

今月からカリタス食堂の名称を親子食堂と新しくする。対象も以前より広げて新しい家族も招く。今回は40名近い参加者があり賑やかだった。Starting this month, the Caritas Kitchen has been renamed the Parent-Child Kitchenl. We have expanded our target audience to welcome new families. This time, there were nearly 40 participants, making for a lively gathering.

2026年2月28日に聖霊会（聖霊奉侍布教修道女会）のシスター村上多美代が神の許へ旅立たれました。カリタス南相馬の最初から関わり、たくさんのシスターたちを送ってくださっていました。小高工房ではパステルアートを教えたり、出前講座で原町の小学校でパステルアートを教えたり、楽しんでいました。
教え子の看護士たちに最後のお世話していただいて幸せ者でしたと言われました。
On February 28,
2026, Sister Tamiyo Murakami, SSpS (Missionary Sisters Servants of the Holy
Spirit), passed away and returned to God. She had been involved with Caritas
Minamisoma from the very beginning and had sent many sisters to serve here. She
enjoyed teaching pastel art at the Odaka Workshop and leading workshops in
Haramachi.
She
told us she felt blessed to have been cared for in her final days by her former
students, who are now nurses.

日本山妙心寺の恒例の3.11いのちの行進にカリタス南相馬から参加しました。小高の同慶寺に8時に集合して、目的地の請戸海岸まで3万歩の距離を40名近くが祈りながら、慰霊碑を巡り歩きました。出発時はかなりの雪でしたが。次第に晴れて請戸海岸に着いたときには綺麗な空でした。We participated in the annual March for Life on March 11, organized by Myoshin-ji Temple Nihon-yama, on behalf of Caritas Minamisoma. We gathered at 8:00 a.m. at the Odaka Dokeiji Temple, and nearly 40 of us walked the 30,000-step distance to our destination, Ukedo Beach, praying as we visited memorials along the way. Although it was snowing heavily when we set out, the weather gradually cleared, and by the time we reached Ukedo Beach, the sky was beautiful.

On the morning of March 11, a memorial Mass was offered at Haramachi Catholic Church, and in the afternoon, we participated in a memorial service at the Tokkei-ji Temple in Odaka.

They're a group that can handle anything—from removing and installing electrical, plumbing, and air conditioning systems to setting up the internet.―3月15日には「いのちの光3.15」の集まりが原町カトリック教会でありました。小高の同慶寺の田中徳雲住職の講演とミサ、懇親会。東電の原発の施設から２０キロ圏内にある小高。ご住職からは福井と福島を行ったり来たりの生活、３人の子どもさんたちの反応など当時の想いをたくさん聞かせていただきました。On March 15, the "Light of Life 3.15" gathering was held at Haramachi Catholic Church. It featured a lecture and Mass by Reverend Toku-un Tanaka of the Odaka Dokei-ji Temple, followed by a simple tea party listening to a sharing of _Reverend Toku-un Tanaka. Odaka is located within a 20-kilometer radius of the TEPCO nuclear power plant. We heard many of his thoughts from that time, including his life traveling back and forth between Fukui and Fukushima, and the reactions of his three children.
