― 草間貴斗 (たかと) さん10年ぶりの訪問　Mr. Takato Kusama Visits After 10 Years

愛知県から14歳の時、父親とカリタス南相馬に来られてから、ボランティア活動に参加されるようになりました。カリタスの温かい雰囲気に心を惹かれ、接待を大切にした活動を続け、今は能登の支援活動もしている方です。10年ぶりに訪ねてくださり、皆でうれしくお話を伺いました。After coming from Aichi Prefecture with his father to Caritas Minamisoma at age 14, he began participating in volunteer activities. Captivated by Caritas's warm atmosphere, he continued activities centered on hospitality and now supports relief efforts in Noto. We were delighted to hear his stories when he visited us after 10 years.

― 干し柿作り　Dried Persimmon Making

今年も萱浜のYさんから柿を沢山いただき、まごころサロンの方達と182個の柿の皮剥きをして、カリタスのデッキに吊るしました。そのあとで、京都の知人からも100個の柿が届き、カリタスのスタッフで皮剥きをしました。This year, we again received many persimmons from Mr. Y in Kaihama. Together with the Magokoro Salon members, we peeled 182 persimmons and hung them on Caritas's deck. After that, 100 more persimmons arrived from an acquaintance in Kyoto, and Caritas staff peeled them. 

― カリタス南相馬で初めて新しい車を購入しました。高齢者に乗り降りが楽な車。ドアを開けると踏み台が出てきます。後ろの席に乗る時も前の座席を倒さずに乗れるようになっています。感謝です。祝別も終わりました。Caritas Minamisoma purchased a new car for the first time. It is designed for easy entry and exit for the elderly. Opening the door extends a step. Passengers can also access the rear seats without folding down the front seats. We are grateful. We already had the blessing ceremony.

― 野田町教会司祭叙階式　Ordination Ceremony at Nodamachi Catholic Church

11月8日に野田町教会でエスコラピオス修道会の3人の司祭叙階式がありました。カリタスから7人で参加。教会はいっぱいの参列者で、大きなお祝いでした。On November 8th, an ordination ceremony for three priests of the Escolapios Order was held at Nodamachi Catholic Church. Seven of us from Caritas Minamisoma attended. The church was packed with attendees. It was a beautiful celebration. 

― カリタス食堂 Caritas Kitchen

夕食が終わった後、ピアノの周りで子どもたちが楽しむようになりました。ピアノのお稽古をしている子どもの演奏もありました。子どものコーナーもいつも賑わっています。今回のデザートはシスター長谷川作のスウィートポテト！40人近くの参加者になりました。After dinner, children began gathering around the piano to enjoy themselves. There was also a performance by a child taking piano lessons. The children's corner is always bustling. This time the dessert was Sister Hasegawa's sweet potatoes! Nearly 40 people participated. 

― 原町駅前通り秋市 Haramachi Autumn Festival

11月3日お天気に恵まれて原町駅前通りは大変な賑わい。去年よりも人出は多かったようです。近くの公園ではいろいろな県からの店もあり、舞台では中学生の楽団演奏があったりして、皆楽しい時を過ごしました。On November 3rd blessed with good weather, Haramachi autumn festival was held. It seemed even busier than last year. At a nearby park featured stalls from various prefectures, and on the stage, there were several performances, including a junior high school orchestra. Many people, young and old, had a pleasant time.

― カリタス南相馬研修会 Caritas Minamisoma workshop

今年はカリタス南相馬のメンバーの一泊研修会で会津柳津（やないず）の西山地熱発電所見学。地下約1,500～2,600mから、熱水を取り出す生産井だそうです。This year's Caritas Minamisoma members' overnight workshop was a visit to the Nishiyama Geothermal Power Plant in Aizu-Yanaizu. It is a production well that extracts hot water from approximately 1,500 to 2,600 meters underground.（写真はインターネットより Photo from the internet ）
