3月の日々より
恒例の日本山妙法寺主催の「命の行進」にカリタス南相馬からボランテイアの方たちと7名で参加。全行程は浪江の請戸海岸まででしたが、カリタスの数名は午前中だけで村上霊園から原町に戻りました。原町教会での犠牲者追悼ミサ、小高同慶寺での追悼法要、宮城県山元町での追悼イベントと連日祈りの集まりに参加しました。
The annual 'March
for Life' organized by a Buddhist group was held on March 10th. Seven of us
from Caritas Minamisoma participated.
The whole course was from Odaka to Ukedo Seashore (Namie). Our group
joined the group for half of the course.
We had a memorial Mass for the victims of the East Japan Great Earthquake and
the TEPCO accident, a memorial prayer service at Dokeiji Temple, and also a
prayer service at Yamamotocho, Miyagi Prefecture. A very prayerful week.
アナはすっかりカリタス南相馬の生活に慣れて、メキシコ料理、小高での英会話、日本語教室、小学生の英語の個人指導など活躍しています。日本語もめきめきと上達して皆、驚いています。「ほんまかいな」、「おつかれさま」、「おせわになります」、、、なんて話しています。
仙台でCTICの仕事をしているフィリピンのClaireに誘われて2泊3日で仙台にも行きました。東北大学で勉強している外国からの留学生たちとの聖書の分かち合いの集まりに参加したようです。
Ana Sofia is now
getting used to the life at Caritas Minamisoma, participating in all the
activities, cooking Mexican food, teaching English, and learning Japanese.
She went on a three day trip to Sendai, invited by Claire, a
Philippina, who is working at CTIC in Sendai.
Ana participated in a Bible sharing of the students from abroad studying
at Tohoku University.
大阪大学のコーラスが小高工房に来て歌ってくださいました。コロナ禍の前には何度か来ていましたが、3年ぶりでまた、来られるようになりました。メンバーはもちろん変わっていますが、きれいなハーモニーで楽しませていただきました。小高では歌いながら町を歩き、その後は浪江に行かれました。
A chorus group of Osaka
University came to visit Odaka Kobo.
They used to come regularly before Covid-19. We enjoyed the beautiful harmony of their
singing. After going around the town of Odaka, they went to Namie to sing.
谷山裕子さん。不二聖心の卒業生で長いことカンボジア、アフガニスタン等で活動をしていましたが、今は沖縄で基地反対の運動をご夫婦でされています。東日本大震災の直後、彼女はすぐに南相馬に来て、放送の仕事等を手伝っていました。小高工房の広畑さん、本屋さん「フルハウス」の柳美里さんとも一緒に活動されていて、この3月に何年ぶりかで南相馬に来られました。3月10日の「命の行進」に一緒に参加し、午後からは小高工房を訪ねました。
Ms. Yuko Taniyama, a
graduate of Fuji Sacred Heart, came to visit Minamisoma.
Right after the disaster in 2011, she came to Minamisoma and worked
together with Yu Miri, owner of the bookstore 'Full House', on the FM
broadcasting, supported Yuko Hirohata, owner of the Odaka Kobo. Ms. Taniyama now lives in Okinawa, supporting
the people in Okinawa with her husband.
For the first time after 10 years, she came back to visit her old
friends. She went on the March for Life
with us.

手芸活動はいつもの通り、賑やかにおしゃべりしながら、手もよく動かしていました。「やはり、みんなとこうやって一緒におしゃべりして、お茶をいただいて、元気がでるよね」というのが参加者の声でした。

chatting, and moving their hands to make pretty things.
京都暁星の卒業生
3人は2年間の専門学校での資格を取得して、この4月からは、それぞれ自分のしたい仕事に就く。一人は全日空の整備士、一人は医療関係、一人は電気関係。京都暁星高校では生徒一人一人が自分にあった道を見つけられるように指導されたと感謝していました。高校で英検2級も取っているとのこと。外国人の英語の先生にならうこともできたと。すばらしい教育をされていると感動しました。3人とも高校の時から同じ茶道部に属していたとのことで、アナのためにお茶を点ててくれました。
Three alumni of Kyoto Gyosei High School came to Caritas Minamisoma for three days. They came to join all the memorial services for the victims of the disaster with us. Three of them attended a technical academy for different specialties and are starting their new life this April. One will be an engineer at ANA, another one an electrical engineer, and the other one a hospital technician.
小高駅舎の卒業生へのメッセージ
最近、小高駅は無人駅になってしまいました。仙台・品川間の特急ひたちも小高には停まりません。それでも小高産業技術高校の生徒たちが500人近く、JR常磐線で通学しています。その駅舎に地元の方達が季節ごとに素敵な飾り付けをしています。3月はその高校生たちの門出を祝って、温かいメッセージが沢山、貼り出され、桜と菜の花、そして「さあ、いっといで」という沢山のポスターも掲げられています。なんと温かい心をもった方たちでしょう！
At JR Joban line Odaka station, now an unmanned station, a volunteer from Tokyo made a heartwarming decoration for the graduating students of Odaka Industrial Technology High School.
社会福祉法人 南相馬市社会福祉協議会と一般社団法人カリタス南相馬との「災害時における協力に関する協定書締結式」が3月13日（月）にカリタス南相馬でおこなわれました。地元の方がたにカリタス南相馬の存在、活動が認められ、カリタス南相馬にとっては歴史的なこと、また、新しい一歩を踏み出すことになりました。
Caritas Minamisoma
is now recognized as a partner of the Council of Social Welfare of Minamisoma
City at the time of a disaster. There
was a signing ceremony at Caritas Minamisoma.
It was a big step forward after nearly 10 years to be recognized by the
local people.
小高にある十割そばの店「こごた」
コロナのこともあり、しばらく閉まっていましたが昨年11月に再開。メキシコから来ているアナソフィアがまだ、日本のおそばを食べたことがないというのでシスター畠中千秋と3人で行ってきました。日本家屋のおそばの店。小さな日本式の庭に松竹梅、盆栽、灯籠があり、日本の文化を紹介するのにちょうど良い場所でした。店のご主人と奥様ともおそばのこ と、日本の庭園のこと等、話を聞かせていただきました。
'Kogota', a noodle
shop in Odaka reopened in November 2022.
It was closed for some time because of Covid-19. We took Ana Sofia there and introduced her to
many aspects of Japanese traditional culture: How to eat Japanese noodles,
special chinaware made in Odaka, a Japanese house, a Japanese garden, etc. The owner of the shop explained many things
about them.
