福島県も南相馬市もコロナ感染者数が急増のため、カリタス南相馬はボランテイア受け入れをしばらく休むことになりました．昨年11月10日に人数制限をしながらでもボランティアの受け入れを再開したのに、残念です。
小高での手芸活動、 パステルアート、英会話もしばらくお休みです。コロナワクチン三回目接種を終えた方も多くなりました。
Caritas Minamisoma has decided not to have volunteers again due to the rapid increase of the number of the Covid 19 infected people in Minamisoma and Fuushima Prefecture. It is really sad as we had reopened the Caritas Minamisoma in November last year. Needlework activities, pastel art class, English conversation class....all are cancelled now.
The number of those who had vaccination for the third time is also increasing in Minamisoma.

ボランテイアの受け入れができない中で子育て支援、生活困窮者の支援を延長してお米その他の支援物資を配布しています。
During the time when we cannot accept volunteers, we continue supporting single parent families, those who are in a very difficult financial situation due to the Covid, distributing a bag of rice and other relief supplies.

最近はさゆり幼稚園の預かり保育の母親のための夕食のおかず作り支援もはじめています。まごころサロンの松野さん達が中心になっておかずを作り、仕事が終わって子どもを迎えにこられた時におかずを受け取っていかれます。松野さんの発案でお母さんと子どものふれあう時間を作ってあげたいということで始まりました。材料費だけいただいています。
Recently we started supporting families at Sayuri Kindergarten. We look after the children after a regular kindergarten hour. Their parents come to pick up the children on the way back from their work. We prepare some food for supper. The purpose is to let the mother and the child have more time to be together. 

専門学校生への支援もはじめる予定です。専門学校に行く学生達は経済的に4年制の大学に行くのが難しい人が多いということで、支援の対象に加えることにしました。
We heard also that some students who go to a vocational school are financially in great need. We decided to add them on the list of those whom we support.

双葉町、大熊町の現状　Current situation of Futaba town and Okuma town

ニュースで双葉町に住民が戻れるように、一部で水道、電気など生活にかかせないものの工事が進められていると伝えられています。10年10ヶ月ぶりに水道が使えると喜ぶ住民の様子に、共に喜んでいます。JR常磐線の双葉駅もきれいになりました。実際に戻ることにした人数は9％程度と言われています。

けれども、駅前の通り一本入ったところからの景色は10年前の震災の後の景色そのままです。電信柱は傾いたまま、屋根が地面に落ちたまま、衣料品店の中は沢山の品物が崩れ落ちたまま、屋根の上まで草に覆われた家々。未だに放射線量が高くて帰還困難区域の看板が立っている地域。双葉町と大熊町の両方にまたがる中間貯蔵施設の近辺の6号線に面した家屋の前にはバリケードが今も張り巡らされています。

大熊町では今も津波で犠牲になった方々の捜索が続けられています。つい2−3日前に小学1年でおじいちゃんと車ごと流された女の子の遺骨の一部が見つかったとニュースで取り上げられました。沖縄で戦没者の遺骨収集を続けている方との協力で見つかり、お父さんは感無量。10年以上たった今も、捜索を続けていることの意味を改めて考えさせられました。

In some news on TV it is reported that in some parts of Futaba town the government is preparing for the residents who have been evacuating all these years to come back to their own town. It is good news only for a few families. The Futaba JR Joban Line station is renovated, but the streets just a block away from the station are still in the same situation as 10 years ago. Most places are still 'no return' zone. Many houses along side the National Highway #6 are behind the barricades. Many houses are covered with weeds up to the roofs. These news are never reported on TV.

In Okuma town a couple of days ago a part of a six year old girl's remains was found after more than 10 years. The girl was on the way back from a children's house near the school with her grandpa. Both were swept away by the Tsunami. Her father has been searching for the remains all these years. This time with the help of a person from Okinawa, who had been searching for the remains of the war victims, found the remains. The father was really happy to have found even a small part of her remains. I realized the importance of continuing the search even after 10 years.
