“We must all be saints. The Saints whose feast we celebrate were just like us, weak with faults and evil inclinations; we have the same grace they had to overcome temptation. Possibly we have more help than they; what keeps us then from profiting by the helps available to us? Will we always be seen as so cowardly by the many witnesses who would testify against us one day? They hold out their hand to us; they urge us to join them; they take an interest in us. Call on them then with the greates confidence, sure that they will help us all they can; since they experienced the same weaknesses, they will have compassion on us and will help us, for they have influence with God. But let us remember that we can only become saints by loving God with our whole heart and loving nothing except in God and for God, and by forsaking ourselves; that is what makes saints.” |

For prayer : 祈りのために
Take the time to go up to the mountain to prepare to meet the Lord. Ask for the grace to understand the happiness to which we are called. At the end, speak to the Lord to give thanks for this call to happiness, or ask for his help in a situation that saddens you… |
