For prayer :祈りのために

Twice in the Gospel a voice is heard saying that Jesus is the beloved Son. On the occasion of the baptism of Jesus (Luke 3, 22), all the people hear the word. In the episode in today’s liturgy, only the three disciples hear it.
聖書の中で二度、イエズスは愛されたみ子といわれるのを聞きます。イエズスの洗礼のとき、すべての人がそれを聞きます。今日の典礼の話では、三人の弟子だけが聞きます。

In prayer, I place myself near Peter, James and John to hear the word that names the beloved Son; and I ask for the grace to hear it, to enter into the cloud, to rest in its shade and, like Mary at the Annunciation, to accept and live by this word.
祈りのうちに、私はペトロ、ヤコブ、ヨハネの近くにいき、愛する子といわれる言葉を聴くようにします。そしてそれが聞こえるように願います。雲の中に入り、その陰で、マリアがお告げのときにしたように、この言葉を受け入れ、その言葉で生きるように恵みを願います。
