Europe: Meeting of RSCJ under 50 about the Spiritual Accompaniment of Young People
A meeting was held recently in Santa María de Huerta,
Spain for any RSCJ under 50 in Europe. 55 were able to
attend along with 2 translators, Margaret Phelan (USA) and Antonella Aloisi (Italy), as well as the Team who were Marie-Thérèse Deprecq (Belgium-France-Netherlands), Miren Lumbreras (Northern Spain) and Sheila McNamara (England-Wales).

Seven European Provinces were represented. Two African sisters, one from Chad and one from Congo, also attended as they are living in Europe at present. The Provincials of Europe called the meeting and invited this Team to prepare, organise and lead the meeting on ‘The Spiritual Accompaniment of Young People’ in response to one of the calls of our General Chapter 2008. Blanca Asensi, the provincial of Southern Spain, welcomed the group to Santa María de Huerta on the first evening and set the context of the meeting. |
| Rooted in our charism, a spirituality of the heart and the Chapter calls, the group engaged in a reflective process throughout these days exploring various themes of spiritual accompaniment; listening, discernment, images of God, ways of praying, integration of prayer and life, finding God in all things. The process incorporated input, small group work, province presentations, individual personal reflection time and interactive work in the large group setting. |  |

Sharing the wealth of work already going on with young people in the various provinces was an enlightening, enriching and heartening experience. Amazing things are happening, initiated by RSCJ, to enable young people across Europe to be praying, discerning, integrated people. The times of prayer together were a very important part of the process. Each Province took it in turn to lead times of prayer. These were creative, reflective, and calming and gathered the threads of the days together. |

The atmosphere of the meeting was lively, dynamic, inspirational, reflective and moving. There was much humour and fun as well as hard work. Although English, French and Spanish were the working languages of the meeting, many means of communication were at work all the time. Relationships were renewed and new friendships made. By the end many ideas and dreams for the future were shared and each went back to her province tired but energised. |

ヨーロッパ：若い人々の霊的同伴について５０歳以下のRSCJのミーティング最近、スペインの
サンタマリア・デ・フエルタで若い人々の霊的同伴について５０歳以下のRSCJの
ミーティングがありました。５５人が集まり、それに通訳のためマーガレットフィーラン、
アントネッラ アロイジのお二人、そしてマリーテレーズ ドゥプレック、ミレン
ルンブレラス、シーラ マックナマラの三人のティームでした。
私たちのカリズマ、みこころの霊性と総会の呼びかけに根ざして、このグループはこの数日間霊的同伴の様々なテーマを検討しながら、祈りの内に過ごしました。聴くこと、識別、様々な神のイメージ、様々な祈り方、祈りと生活の統合、すべてのものの中に神を見出すことなど。このプログラムの流れにはインプット、小グループでの作業、管区の紹介、個人の振り返りの時間、大きいグループでの
話し合いなどがありました。
いろいろな管区ですでに行われている若者とのプログラムの豊かさを分かち合ったことは、目を開か
せ、お互いを豊かにし、心温まる経験でした。RSCJのイニシアティヴでヨーロッパ中の若者たちが祈
り、
識別し、バランスの取れた人間になれるようにと驚くべきことが起こっています。
ともに祈る時間はこのプログラムの中で大切な部分でした。それぞれの管区が順番に祈りを担当しました。創造的で、振り返りもあり、心を静めるものでもあり、それぞれの一日の色々な出来事をつな
げていくものになりました。
ミーティングの雰囲気は生き生きとして、ダイナミックで、心を呼び覚ますものであり、また、内省的であり、心を動かすものでもありました。きつい作業もありましたが、ユーモアも楽しいこともたくさんありました。ミーティングでの言語は英語、フランス語、スペイン語でしたが、ほかにもいろいろなコミ
ュニケーションの手段がありました。仲間との再会もあり、新しい友達もできました。終わりには将来に向けての夢や提案の分かち合いがありました。それぞれは疲れはしましたが、力をもらって自分の管区に帰っていきました。 (穎川政子訳)
